camera conversion

I got a new camera.

I used to shoot pentax because my boyfriend had a Pentax and the idea was to share lenses. Well now that i live in a different city for school and everyone else i know shoots a Canon i converted. I also moved up from an entry level to a semi-pro. So far i have enjoyed using it but have much to learn.

Ya!

rocky morning

Destination: Stone Ruin
Actual Destination: Stone Ruins & Heritage Churches

As per any normal trip our destination never actually stays the same. We wanted to head to some stone church ruins but ended up finding more ruins and other churches. Killing most of the day in one small area we got our fair share of photographs including some pano's.

I have not dont much with ruins but have discovered i really enjoy them and plan to go experiment with some lighting effects at night.

Here are some of my favorite pics from this trip:

You can tell who loves churches and who was dragged along

religious morning

Phoenix Enigma stayed in town for a couple days and we took the opportunity to explore as much as we could. We joined up with Saskurbex and hit the road. Most of the places we found were churches. There is never a shortage of abandoned churches around this province which is a good thing for me as i love churches. Each is unique in its own way and no two are ever the same.

unexpected ghost town

Phoenix Enigma, Saskurbex and I all went out a road trip with no real destination in mind. We knew the area we wanted to be in, but not sure what we would find. One of our first stops was a ghost town, an unexpected ghost town. Old business's, houses and a town hall all still intact we put on our boots and started to walk around the town. Not much vandalism to our surprise we took this oppertunity to take many photo's and spend more time then we planned to in the town.

Here are a few snapshots:

found an old storage area.. only i could fit comfortably inside :p
Phoenix Enigma with a handle to nowhere
old wax McDonalds cups.. its been so long
why people always leave dishes in the sink is beyond me
brand didnt matter as long as they had horseradish
and the bus.. all of us loved this bus
(but phoenix enigma was especially fascinated with it)
